Hm.. after playing around with the values, I see why this was done:
While the head can actually go up to 180, the default cable configuration (not really well managed) will rub against the rim of the frame. The filament feed is also wedged close to the rim.

In other words, this is technically doable, but probably inadvisable without better cable & filament management.

Why would the manufacturer lie to us?? 😮‍💨
