Welcome to the OpenSatReciever wiki!

I made this project, because I was tired of all these "dumb" smarttv's or settopboxes which

  • won't receive updates after 2 years
  • aren't easy to repair
  • aren't open & free

My first good sat reciever was a Dreambox 8000 HD PVR but after several years, the old lady became too slow and won't get updates anymore, because of its 600mhz mips cpu.
