Are there ongoing efforts in the UK Biobank that aim to transform part of the data there to meds, or work with the meds schema?

I am not aware of any ongoing work to transform the UK Biobank to MEDS (did I miss something @mmcdermott ?). However, I do happen to have access to UK Biobank data and can help you write an ETL for it if you are interested. The starting point for this is the following repo: https://github.com/Medical-Event-Data-Standard/ETL_MEDS_Template.

You did not @prockenschaub -- and thank you for following up on this. We'd be very interested to have such an ETL, but do not have one yet. Happy to support it within the main organization once it is created. @prockenschaub note that we're building out some improvements to MEDS-Extract, its documentations (through the KDD tutorial), and the ETL_template repo soon, so if there is not immediate time pressure waiting a month or so may be best.
