AppImage release

AppImages are a multi-platform packaging system very convenient, faster and more efficient than Flatpak.

It would be nice to have an AppImage release of this software.

Flatpak is almost always the better choice in my experience, and already supported — that said, I'd be happy to review a PR that added an AppImage build.
