A final reminder of this change that we expect to happen end of this week or beginning of next. Please see this page for advice on reconnecting forks on github https://metoffice.github.io/simulation-systems/FurtherDetails/visibility_changes.html |

Dear All,
It's with pleasure that we can formally announce that the MetOffice/jules repository will soon transition to full public access. This is a significant milestone for the project, made possible by adoption the BSD 3-Clause License.
This change will occur as part of the next release of JULES, currently scheduled for early July.
Impact on existing Forks and Pull Requests
When a private repository is made public all existing private forks will be disconnected from the original repository. This means that while your JULES fork will remain private, you will no longer be able to open new pull requests to the MetOffice/jules repository from these.
Recommended action plan
To maintain the continuity of your work, please take the following actions:
Before the beginning of July: Ensure all local development is pushed to your current, private forks. After the next release of JULES: Follow the technical guide to re-establish your connection to the project.
The exact release date of JULES cannot be determined until the infrastructure is deemed to be in a suitable state for release by the Simulation Systems and Deployment Team .
Thank you for your cooperation during this transition.
Sincerely,
Pierre (On behalf of the Simulation Systems and Deployment Team)
