Preparing merging the changes to master:

1. Create a new branch named release/vX.X-RC from master.
2. For each PR to include in the RC:
   1. Check that the vote passed before the deadline as per the governance.
   2. Check that the change is non breaking if it’s a MINOR release.
   3. Edit the examples to show the changes.
   4. Add the notice (added in vX.X-RC) under the new fields.
   5. Click ‘Edit title’ and choose the new branch release/vX.X-RC as the base branch.
   6. Merge the PR once approved.
3. On the branch release/vX.X-RC:
   1. Edit This documentation refers to version vX.X-RC in gbfs.md.
   2. Add the new version in the Release Candidates section in README.md:

   • JSON Schema template: https://github.com/MobilityData/gbfs-json-schema/tree/master/vX.X-RC
   • Release notes template: https://github.com/MobilityData/gbfs/releases/tag/vX.X-RC
   • Write “TBD” as the release date
4. Create a PR to merge release/vX.X-RC into master but don’t merge it for now.
