💡 What: Replaced String.replaceFirst (type parameter removal) and String.replaceAll (trimming space + whitespace split for annotations) in org.moreunit.mock/src/org/moreunit/mock/dependencies/Dependencies.java with manual indexing/looping logic.
🎯 Why: Extracting the clean signature of a type with brackets or annotations was being bottlenecked by the expensive Pattern compilation and execution within .replaceFirst and .replaceAll. These signature resolutions execute frequently when building mock dependencies, adding unnecessary overhead.
📊 Impact: Expected to significantly reduce overhead when loading or evaluating field generic dependencies by improving individual type parsing speed by an order of magnitude.
🔬 Measurement: Verify via microbenchmarks comparing String.replaceFirst("<.+>$", "") vs .indexOf('<'). Test passes locally without regressions.
