MultiChat Installation
Installing MultiChat is nearly as simple as dropping the plugin.jar file in your plugins folder.
Here is how to go about it:
-
Firstly, go to the following link: CLICK HERE To download the latest version of MultiChat.
-
Once downloaded, place the downloaded JAR file in your BUNGEECORD plugins folder. This is the folder called "plugins" that is in the same directory as your "BungeeCord.Jar" file.
-
If you plan on using the features of MultiChat that fetch player's display names your individual spigot/sponge servers, then you also need to place the same downloaded JAR file in all of your spigot/sponge server's plugin folders. For spigot navigate to where you have your "Spigot.Jar" file, and then place MultiChat into the 'plugins folder'. NOTE: You will want to use the fetching display names feature if you use a plugin such as Essentials, Vault, PEX, GroupManager etc. to set your players prefixes/display names. If you use a bungeecord plugin to manage players prefixes/displaynames across your entire network then it is not needed to use the fetching display names feature and you will not need to place MultiChat in your spigot servers plugins folder.
IF YOU WISH TO FETCH ANY DISPLAY NAMES FROM SPIGOT PLUGINS SUCH AS PEX, LUCKPERMS, GROUP MANAGER etc. YOU MUST NOW USE VAULT. PLEASE INSTALL THE LATEST VERSION FROM THE SPIGOT WEBSITE (Just search "Spigot Vault") NOTE THIS IS NOT REQUIRED FOR SPONGE!
-
Re-Start your BungeeCord server and any Spigot servers that you placed the JAR into. (DO NOT USE /RELOAD OR /GRELOAD)
-
You should see a message somewhere that indicates MultiChat has been loaded on the BungeeCord console, and that MultiChatBridge has been loaded on the Spigot console (if you installed it there too).
-
Done! MultiChat is now installed on your servers and it is time to start configuring it!
