Describe the bug
TikTok works almost completely on the latest WSA build. The video feed, LIVE streams, uploading stories, comments, profiles and other normal features work correctly.
However, all messaging-related features appear to be broken.
The Inbox page remains empty and never loads conversations.
The friends list is displayed correctly. However, after selecting a friend and tapping Share, TikTok reports that the video was shared successfully, but no message is actually sent and the recipient never receives the video.
The ByteDance app "Whee" shows the same behavior (chat does not load).
Sometimes TikTok also displays "You're offline", even though the app can still browse videos, watch LIVE streams, upload content and interact with posts normally.
The same TikTok account works correctly on a physical Android device using the same network, so the issue appears to be specific to WSA.
Additionally, the app occasionally crashes at random during normal use. While this is less critical than the messaging issue, it may indicate another compatibility problem with WSA.
Steps to reproduce the issue
- Install the latest MustardChef WSABuilds with GApps.
- Install TikTok from the Google Play Store.
- Sign in to a TikTok account.
- Open the Inbox tab.
- Try sharing a video with another user.
Expected behaviour
Inbox should load conversations normally.
The Share panel should display the friends list and successfully send the selected video to the chosen recipient.
Whee should load chats normally.
