Are there any plans to port this over to other Unix-based systems and/or Windows?

At the moment, officially I don't have the capacity to work on it. However a few people have been working on it for a while so you can check their work out at https://github.com/rustcast-cross/rustcast-cross

I think its worth considering this now since rustcast is doing pretty well. But i would want extensions to be added first, and then features should be matched one by one for each OS.
