It seems like the dev hasn't had time to update or respond to comments so I'm just adding a note here in case other's are looking for a more up to date Plotly wrapper that will be accepting PR's, feedback and suggestions! This variant is much more hands on but more customizable compared to the NatelEnergy panel.
