Description:
Currently, the Downloads menu defaults to hiding installed archives, forcing users to manually click the "View All Downloads" button every single time they launch Vortex. As part of the ongoing UI rework, it would be a massive usability improvement to make this view preference a persistent, saved state.
Use Case / Justification:
For users who actively manage large modlists and prefer to always have full visibility of their downloaded files, the current behavior introduces unnecessary daily friction. Forcing a repetitive, per-session manual action for a basic view preference goes against standard UX practices. Users should be able to set their preferred view once and never have to think about it again.
Expected Behavior:
- The "View All Downloads" action is converted into a toggle (e.g., a toggle switch, checkbox, or an active/inactive button state).
- When a user activates "View All Downloads", Vortex saves this preference to the user's configuration file.
- Upon restarting Vortex, the UI reads this saved state and automatically displays the full downloads list without requiring any extra clicks.
- Alternative: Add a dedicated "Always show all downloads" checkbox in the general application Settings.
