This is an automated PR to retire @jwiegley as a Nixpkgs committer because they have not used their commit access in the past year.

@jwiegley: You can make a comment stating why you believe your commit access should be kept. Otherwise, this PR will be merged and implemented in one month.

Note

Commit access is not required for most forms of contributing, including being a maintainer and reviewing PRs. It is only needed for things that require write permissions to Nixpkgs, such as merging PRs.

This is one of the cases mentioned in #73 (comment), where the retirement script does not count squash and rebase merges from ~ the first half of the year. There was 1 of these in June. @jwiegley has also recently deleted their fork of Nixpkgs on GitHub, so I'm unsure how much contribution is planned going forward. I'd proceed as in the PR description here, i.e. give @jwiegley a month of time to respond and see whether the commit bit is still needed right now or not.

Hi @wolfgangwalther! I only deleted my fork to clear out the extraneous references that I had there, per the request of another member of the project. Once I have something to commit again, I'll re-fork and submit a PR. I still use Nix and nixpkgs daily in many contexts, and intend to remain active in the Nix ecosystem. I'd like to retain my commit access, if it is possible.

@wolfgangwalther Ack, having a work account now gets my GitHub work all confused. Responding now from the jwiegley account so you know it's me!

That other member was me, too :D

Thanks for clarifying that part about the re-fork, when needed!

@wolfgangwalther Oh, my apologies for forgetting! I've reforked now, just to put my stake in the ground to say, "Yes, I loves me my nixpkgs and I'm here for the long haul!"

Now I'm off to try out nixos-anywhere, to see if I can setup NixOS on my OVHcloud VPS... :)
