Hi @adagj , yes we are running with volcanic forcing (CMIP6). I checked the atm_in, it contains : I can check the timeseries of total AOD in the output - volcanoes should be visible in there. |

Thanks, @adagj! Looking at time series of Drake passage transport in piControl simulations, there seems to be more variability in NorESM3-dev compared to NorESM2 (I guess we should ignore the beta01 simulations in this respect, since we had the erratic SO oscillations still present at that time). Although the beta09 NHIST variability seems to be on the high side compared to piControl, I'm not very worried, but we should continue to monitor it. |

I suggest we gather some results from our historical test simulations here. The relevant issues (so far) are #196 , #197 , #313
I have compared to NorESM2-LM in the figure below. In general, we have colder surface temperature, much higher cloud fraction - especially high clouds. The ocean response is warmer, fresher, and the circulation weaker. I'm a bit worried about the oscillations in the Drake Passage transport.
And are we running the current nhist #313 without volcanic forcing?
