The vulnerability was responsibly disclosed and fixed by Nadav Magier.

In vulnerable versions, the issue can be mitigated by lowering the value of the maxPayload option if possible.

🤖 Wrong-base PR auto-close (Argus gate).

This PR targets `main` but the Aegis branching model (per AGENTS.md + BRANCHING.md) requires ALL agent and dependabot PRs to target `develop`. `main` is release-only — only release-please PRs and explicitly authorized hotfixes land there.

Per the established investigation (Hermes, 2026-06-17, ~13% wrong-base rate from dependabot retry/recovery scans), the .github/dependabot.yml config is correct (target-branch: develop across all 4 ecosystems). This is a dependabot-side retry-recovery artifact using cached/wrong base — not actionable on our side.
