QR code for app install does not open iOS app store correctly

The QR code for app install is shown during login (do you want to use the app next time), in mijn.eduid.nl and on eduid.nl. After scanning these QR codes with an iPhone, they behave different:

• during login: opens browser on the app store homepage
• mijn.eduid.nl: opens browser and asks for eduID login (app store is not opened)
• eduid.nl: opens browser on the eduID app store page.

Is it possible to open the app-store app on iOS on the eduID page? If not, the behaviour of the QR on eduid.nl page is best (browser on the eduID app store page).

I was not able to test this on Android
