I am evaluating the Ingenic T40N SoC for an on-device AI inference project. I understand the official Ingenic SDK provides access to the Magik/AIE NPU via libraries like libmagik or similar runtime.
I was wondering if OpenIPC currently has any support for this NPU. Specifically:
Does the current OpenIPC firmware for the T41NQ include the necessary kernel drivers or userspace libraries to leverage the NPU?
If not, is there any ongoing work or roadmap to support it, or would I need to rely on the proprietary Ingenic SDK for AI acceleration?
I am comfortable cross-compiling models but want to know if the open-source firmware path is viable for this hardware. Thanks for any insights!
