The new design looks nice. To slightly improve the UX, I'd change it so that off-site links open in a new tab. Currently, the Wiki and the Discord link in the navigation bar don't do this.
While trying to simply add a target, I found that there's more to it that simply changing the HTML. AFAIK it's not a simple property to be added to navigation.yml. Then I found this plug-in instead: https://rubygems.org/gems/jekyll-target-blank
