IMS Working Group Requirements

This is starting list. The final (to implement) list of technical requirements is a product of the IMS OWG (please refer to the group Roadmap). With the progress of the the group activities, the list may change. We will try to updates as realtime as possible here.

CSCF and AS

• DIAMETER support - ability to manipulate raw binary data from DIAMETER AVPs
  • read and write binary data, such as ipnet values in a Diameter AVP
• DIAMETER support - generic server side
  • For getting updates regarding changes in the system, we might need to implement some Diameter apps (i.e. the ones updating the AKA arrays)
• HTTP 2.0 support (as future alternative for DIAMETER?)
  • we may need to develop some HTTP endpoints to handle system updates, similarly to the Diameter generic server side apps

S-CSCF

• Digest AKA v1,2 support
  • Develop AKA v1 and v2 authentication scheme

Presence server

• Presence enhancements - adding "reg" event

P-CSCF

• IPSec support in P-CSCF
