SMS Location Alerts Not working Reliably

User reported issue:

I set everything up exactly as described on your website, but there’s a problem with sending the location.

The SMS with the attack notification is sent, but the link to Google Maps isn’t always included. During a test, two text messages were sent, and only the third one contained the location link.

I’ve enabled location services wherever possible, set battery saver mode, and configured the twin options exactly as described in the guide.

I couldn’t find any information on the website about how to send the location. I only saw the options to send a text message and the location option, which is checked.

If I can count on your help, I’d be grateful.

I think that maybe it is working as intended as you have seen at least one sms with location.

There is a timer that prevents too many SMS messages being sent, so if you do a few repeat tests one after the other, some of them will appear to fail. It sends two SMS messages for each alert - the first one is just a 'Seizure Detected' message, and the second contains the location. There is often quite a delay while the phone determines its location before the location sms is sent.

I am about to release V5.0 of the app, and will check that it emits a warning on the screen if it is not sending because of the timer, so it is clear to the user.
