Import Configuration doesn't restore all station attributes

Tested on browser and app:

Export configuration
Change a station name and group
Import configuration
The station name is restored, group is not

I have a similar problem with Station Settings

The ugrade triggered a factory reset, i started with a fresh configuration but any change to Station Names is discarded. The app returns as information that the change has been persisted, but then it refreshes the list of Stations and they show their default name (S01, S02..).

Tested with Firefox and Edge Browsers, with different combination of names (with/without spaces, with/without dashes).

Please attach a copy of your configurations so we can import it to a test controller and reproduce the issue for debugging. I don't think this is a known issue that happens across the board - it may depend on the firmware version or it might be due to non-English character in the station names. In any case, once we can reproduce the issue, we can debug it.

@rayshobby i don't have any configuration as i started from scratch again. I am trying to use plain English names, without extra special chars and it isn't persisting the names.

My device is a OS 3.2 with the latest 2.2.1(4) firmware

@madduci: Re-reading your original message, I think what you reported is a different issue. If I understand correctly, you mean you didn't import any configuration, rather, you started from a factory reset condition, and tried to change station names but the changes didn't take effect? That's a different issue than importing an existing configuration, and it's definitely not an issue I am aware of. Did this happen with previous firmwares or is this a new issue after you upgraded to 2.2.1(4)?

This is a new issue. With previous firmware 2.2.0(1) wasn't happening

Two suggestions:

1. Perform a factory reset manually. While your firmware update triggered a reset, some part of the flash memory may not have reset properly. A manual reset should clear this up. Factory reset procedure can be found in the user manual:

2. If the issue still persists, check the browser console tab. Specifically, open a browser and turn on its console tab (e.g. in Chrome, this is at More Tools -> Developer Tools -> Console). Then access the controller and try to change a station name and submit the change. See if there is any error message in the console.

You can also directly issue an HTTP GET command for changing station name (the /cs endpoint):

and see if it returns any error message.
