Hello. I have a controller running GP2040-CE (specifically a haute42 C16-S) and I need to have the SOCD cleaning off. It looks how I'd expect on the input display on the controller, but when I test my controller inputs in Steam it behaves as SOCD Neutral. I'm using the Xinput mode, which as I learned from the documentation is the only mode that supports no SOCD cleaning.
In the past, I have used the xpad setting called dpad_to_buttons to fix this. I understand that xpad is the linux kernel module responsible for this behavior. It simply cannot handle SOCD unless you set dpad_to_buttons=1. This works for my Snackbox Micro controller, but not for the haute42 C16-S.
My current workaround is to use the keyboard input mode. This is not optimal for me, as I will be using this controller on LAN soon and don't want to fiddle around with this stuff.
I do not know if this is an issue with GP2040-CE. Sorry if it's not, but I do not know where else to get help with regards to this.
In case it's relevant, I'm running CachyOS.
