What is the next version? 4.0 or 3.1? when?

OCC 4.0 will come when OC 3.0 is released.

I'm going to investigate next week if it's possible to also have an OCC 3.1 or 3.0.1 release on a separate branch. If that's viable, it will contain the non-breaking changes since 3.0.

IMO, we should not wait for OC which is too slow.
we can have 4.0, if OC 3.0 come out, we can have 5.0 . The number can increase to 100 or 1000 , as we like.
By the way, my project need new changes. so I vote for 4.0

There is no need to increment major version unless there are breaking changes (and we should not introduce breaking changes unless absolutely necessary). Using bigger numbers won't actually make the project faster.

bigger number is for breaking changes of OCC, which is not necessary following the OC
