Code of Conduct

Our Community

Chat2DB is an open-source project for developers, DBAs, analysts, and data teams. We want the community to be welcoming, respectful, and useful for people with different backgrounds, experience levels, languages, and workflows.

This Code of Conduct applies to project spaces such as GitHub Issues, Pull Requests, Discussions, community channels, and other public or private spaces connected to the Chat2DB project.

Expected Behavior

We ask community members to:

  • Be respectful and considerate in discussions.
  • Give and receive feedback constructively.
  • Stay focused on the topic and the project.
  • Help make issues, pull requests, and discussions clear and actionable.
  • Respect different levels of experience and different communication styles.
  • Assume good intent, but be open to correction.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behavior is not acceptable:

  • Harassment, intimidation, threats, or personal attacks.
  • Discriminatory language or behavior.
  • Sexualized language, imagery, or attention.
  • Trolling, insulting comments, or repeated disruption.
  • Publishing private information without permission.
  • Sharing passwords, tokens, private data, or customer information.
  • Any other behavior that maintainers reasonably consider inappropriate for the project community.

Reporting

If you experience or notice behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please contact the maintainers through the official Chat2DB contact channel listed in the README.

When reporting an issue, please include:

  • What happened
  • Where it happened
  • Who was involved
  • Any relevant links, screenshots, or context

Maintainers will review reports as carefully and privately as possible.

Enforcement

Maintainers may take action to keep the community healthy and productive. Actions may include:

  • Clarifying expectations
  • Editing or deleting inappropriate content
  • Asking someone to stop specific behavior
  • Temporarily or permanently limiting participation in project spaces

Enforcement decisions are made by project maintainers based on the context and impact of the behavior.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies when participating in Chat2DB project spaces and when representing the project in public community interactions.

Thank you for helping make Chat2DB a respectful and productive open-source community.
