Code of Conduct

PNLCS is an open community. Hosting providers, agencies, freelancers and contributors from very different backgrounds collaborate here. We want it to stay useful and welcoming for everyone.

In short

  • Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people.
  • Be specific. Concrete reports and clear questions get better answers.
  • Stay on topic. This repo is for PNLCS — bugs, features, code, docs, ideas and questions.
  • Assume good faith. Most misunderstandings are just misunderstandings.

What's not OK

  • Personal attacks, harassment, slurs, doxxing, threats
  • Discriminatory language or imagery (race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, nationality, age, etc.)
  • Sexualised content; sustained off-topic / promotional spam
  • Sharing other people's private data (credentials, tokens, customer info, real IPs / domains belonging to third parties) without consent
  • Pressuring maintainers or other contributors — no "ping every hour" loops
  • Coordinated brigading, sock-puppet accounts, vote manipulation
  • Posting cracked, leaked, or pirated material
  • Public security-vulnerability dumps (use SECURITY.md instead)
  • License violations (PNLCS is MIT — please respect that on both sides)

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • This repository (issues, discussions, pull requests, code review, wiki)
  • Any associated spaces operated by Panelica, LLC where this CoC is referenced

Enforcement

If you see a problem, or experience one, contact us:

Email: conduct@panelica.com

Reports are read by the maintainer team and treated confidentially. We won't share your identity with the person reported without your consent unless required by law.

Possible responses, depending on severity:

  1. Quiet word — a private note explaining what was off and how to adjust
  2. Public correction — a maintainer comment, no further action
  3. Edit / hide / delete the offending content
  4. Temporary timeout from the repo (1–30 days)
  5. Permanent ban from this repo and other Panelica community spaces

Bans for severe violations (harassment, threats, doxxing, illegal content) are immediate and do not require prior warnings.

Reporters' protection

We will not retaliate against anyone for reporting a CoC violation in good faith. Filing a knowingly false report, however, is itself a violation.
