Is v4 ready to be tested with different unstructured grid models?

Hi,

I saw issue #2588 appear and am wondering if this is too soon to start testing Parcels v4 on the output of different undructured grid models. I would like to evaluate how Parcels with FVCOM and TELEMAC outputs.

Thanks for your interest, @tiagoams! We are working towards a proper alpha release of Parcels v4, and that will indeed have support for unstructured grids. Our main concern now is performance

But sure, if you don't mind performance too much, you could already test how Parcels v4 works with FVCOM and TELEMAC. @fluidnumericsJoe is the contact point for these unstructured grids, although his focus is mainly on FESOM and ICON
