• I have read the FAQ section, searched the open issues, and still think this is a new bug.

Describe the bug you encountered:

I am using the correct key file and password, I am unable to log into my database. I am able to access it via my laptop.

Describe what you expected to happen:

No response

What version of Keepass2Android are you using?

Maybe you have the same issue as in #3211 or #1824.

On pixel devices for whatever reason .jpg pictures get altered resulting in the inability to decrypt the .kdbx file.

From what I understand this can't be fixed because it is at fault of pixel devices modifying .jpg files.

As a workaround, change the extension ending from .jpg (original one) to anything else and it should work.

No, the .jpg remark was about that if your keyfile has the ending .jpg you should rename it to have a different ending (though ofc before that you have to register this new file as keyfile on your computer).

I was able to fix it. I see that I had to rename it to .jpg.key. That is strange. I have been using this app for years on multiple Pixel devices and it is now an issue? I am not a fan of that because it then makes it obvious for 3rd parties to know what my key file is.

I was able to leave the key file on my computer with the .jpg extension and still able to access the database

Yeah, I am not a fan of it either. Though there's nothing I can do. I am not a maintainer, and the original issue itself is present since Android 12.
