You could create the blank canvas and then use either the option to import a new layer from a file, or do a copy/paste into the current layer, and then use the Move Selected Pixels tool to resize. But just loading the file directly and using the Resize Image dialog might also work too. |

Hello, i just discovered and downloaded Pinta.
In photoshop we can create a new canvas at any resolution and "place" an image on it so that we can resize move crop to match the canvas resolution.
is there a way to do this in Pinta? I want to create a blank 1920x1080 canvas then place images on it so that I can move it around to fine what image I want, then export quickly as PNG.
can this be done? thank you.
