docs(session-replay): document where video exports land#18816
Merged
Conversation
Users exporting a replay as MP4/GIF had no docs telling them the render happens in the background and the file lands in the exports panel (Settings > Exports). This also gives the support AI a correct source to cite. Companion app fix: PostHog/posthog#72948 Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Eager-graph budgets are report-only until a baseline is established. Sizes are gzip of public/**/*.js; eager size is webpack module source bytes for the modules actually shipped in the entrypoint's initial chunks (post-tree-shake).

Changes
Adds an "Exporting a video (MP4 or GIF)" section to the session replay sharing page.
Customers exporting a replay as MP4 see "Export started" and then nothing, because the render happens in the background and the finished file lands in the exports panel (Settings > Exports). That location was undocumented, so neither customers nor the support AI could answer "where did my export go?" (came up in a support ticket this week). This documents the two export entry points (full recording and clips), where exports land, the 12 month retention, and the monthly limits per plan tier.
Values cross-checked against the app code: retention and limits come from
