Add Kruskal's Algorithm for Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) in Go
Added an implementation of Kruskal's Algorithm for finding a Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) in an undirected, weighted graph. The approach is based on a greedy strategy that sorts all edges by weight and uses a Union-Find data structure to add edges that connect disjoint components without forming a cycle.
Features 🚀
Computes the MST and its total weight by iterating through a sorted list of all edges.
Includes a highly efficient Union-Find (Disjoint Set) implementation with path compression and union by rank optimizations to detect cycles.
Correctly handles disconnected graphs by returning nil if a full spanning tree cannot be formed.
Comes with a complete test suite to verify behavior on various graph structures.
Complexity Analysis 📊
Time Complexity
O(ElogE), where E is the number of edges. The complexity is dominated by the initial sorting of the graph's edges.
Space Complexity
O(V+E), where V is the number of vertices and E is the number of edges, to store the list of edges and the Union-Find data structure.
