I know that this has been requested before on Discord by other users, and the answer was positive about being possible, so I'd like to request again and provide some clarification of why this is useful:
With the addition of auto desynthesis, some users like me desynth many items (gear/furniture) because the materials are more valuable/useful than the item itself. Because of that, we start getting lots of HQ duplicates, so 100 different materials rapidly become 200 instead because of the HQ duplicates, filling the retainer's inventory way faster than it was supposed to.
Since crafters get Trained Eye when 80+, there's no reason to keep materials as HQ if they're not from Dawntrail, or used for Dawntrail recipes.
