Issue a New Release

This package hasn't had a release since July 11, 2023. 10 PRs have been merged since then. Please cut a new release with the latest changes.

How should we call for attention to this thread?

The lack of response is worrisome but perhaps one of the members of the PyCQA organisation could provide some solace.

I wouldn't want to start tagging random individuals #293 has been open for a while and received a considerable amount of 👍 .

I tried contacting the email on the PyCQA GitHub page 10 days ago and so far have not heard back.

any chance to have 1.7.6 released, it is very annoying to revert every pre-commit bump to SHA since 1.7.5 is broken 🤔

I just released v1.7.6 today so I'm closing this issue. I'll start working on the backlog of pull requests.
