"Open web pages in background in browser" preference not working as intended.

Regardless if the box in preferences is checked under Settings... > General > Browser

pressing the shift key makes no difference either way

Default browser is set to Orion

This applies to any and all feeds, when opening a link, it brings the browser up in front of NNN, which is not wanted.

This is probably an Orion bug. (Chrome and some other browsers have this same bug.) An experiment you can run: switch your browser temporarily to Safari, and see if it opens in the background.
