#25455) …884) ## **Description** This PR originates from #24240 - there was too much conflicts and I also needed to improve perf in few more places due to UI refactoring On average this PR takes down rerenders when switching tabs to ~3 and it also makes them faster. Most of diff is just changing indentations due to wrapping in memo/useCallback ## **Changelog** CHANGELOG entry: null ## **Related issues** Fixes: ## **Manual testing steps** 1. Test everything related to Browser functionality ## **Screenshots/Recordings** <!-- If applicable, add screenshots and/or recordings to visualize the before and after of your change. --> ### **Before** <!-- [screenshots/recordings] --> ### **After** <!-- [screenshots/recordings] --> ## **Pre-merge author checklist** - [ ] I’ve followed [MetaMask Contributor Docs](https://github.com/MetaMask/contributor-docs) and [MetaMask Mobile Coding Standards](https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-mobile/blob/main/.github/guidelines/CODING_GUIDELINES.md). - [ ] I've completed the PR template to the best of my ability - [ ] I’ve included tests if applicable - [ ] I’ve documented my code using [JSDoc](https://jsdoc.app/) format if applicable - [ ] I’ve applied the right labels on the PR (see [labeling guidelines](https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-mobile/blob/main/.github/guidelines/LABELING_GUIDELINES.md)). Not required for external contributors. ## **Pre-merge reviewer checklist** - [ ] I've manually tested the PR (e.g. pull and build branch, run the app, test code being changed). - [ ] I confirm that this PR addresses all acceptance criteria described in the ticket it closes and includes the necessary testing evidence such as recordings and or screenshots. <!-- CURSOR_SUMMARY --> --- > [!NOTE] > **High Risk** > Touches in-app browser navigation/webview request handling and wraps many handlers in `useCallback`/`useMemo`; incorrect dependency arrays could cause stale logic in protocol/deeplink gating or tab/bookmark actions. > > **Overview** > **Performance-focused refactor of in-app Browser UI** by memoizing several components (`AccountRightButton`, `BrowserUrlBar`, `UrlAutocomplete`, `DiscoveryTab`) and stabilizing props/handlers in `BrowserBottomBar`, `BrowserTab`, and `Browser` to reduce re-renders during tab switching. > > `Browser` is split into `BrowserPure` + memoized `Browser`, with a new memoized connected wrapper that deep-compares `route` to avoid route-object churn. Several computed values (e.g., masked URL/bookmarked state, active tab URL, WebView props) are now memoized, and many inline callbacks are converted to `useCallback`. > > Tests are updated to import/render `BrowserPure` directly, and `Browser.types` is expanded (e.g., `timestamp` accepts `string`, additional route params, and explicit `BrowserComponentProps` typings). > > Written by [Cursor Bugbot](https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=bugbot) for commit 6a45ed5. <!-- Please submit this PR as a draft initially. Do not mark it as "Ready for review" until the template has been completely filled out, and PR status checks have passed at least once. --> ## **Description** <!-- Write a short description of the changes included in this pull request, also include relevant motivation and context. Have in mind the following questions: 1. What is the reason for the change? 2. What is the improvement/solution? --> The purpose of these changes is to extend the functionality of triggering the global Toast UI from services. In other words, with these changes, you can now show a toast from non-components by leveraging the `ToastService`. Example usage is `ToastService.showToast` or `ToastService.closeToast`. ## **Changelog** <!-- If this PR is not End-User-Facing and should not show up in the CHANGELOG, you can choose to either: 1. Write `CHANGELOG entry: null` 2. Not required for external contributors. ## **Pre-merge reviewer checklist** - [x] I've manually tested the PR (e.g. pull and build branch, run the app, test code being changed). - [x] I confirm that this PR addresses all acceptance criteria described in the ticket it closes and includes the necessary testing evidence such as recordings and or screenshots. <!-- CURSOR_SUMMARY --> --- > [!NOTE] > **Medium Risk** > Introduces a global singleton that stores a React ref and throws/logs when unavailable, which can affect app-wide toast behavior if registration timing or lifecycle is off. Scope is otherwise small and covered by unit tests. > > **Overview** > Enables triggering the global Toast UI from non-React code by adding a new `core/ToastService` singleton with `showToast`/`closeToast` APIs that proxy through a stored toast `ref` (and log+throw when the ref is missing). > > Updates `ToastContextWrapper` to register its `toastRef` with `ToastService` on mount, and adds unit tests covering ref management, proxy behavior, and error paths. > > Written by [Cursor Bugbot](https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=bugbot) for commit 7c2803c.
