How to get the lowest temperature of a sensor during the past X seconds?

Hi.

I'm trying to minimize the temperature spikes of my CPU, typical for Ryzen 5000 series.

At the moment I set something like this:

As you can see, I'm selecting the lower temperature from:

• The current CPU temperature
• Average of CPU temperatures during the past 5 seconds.

Is it possible to select the lowest temperature from the past 5 seconds with some function? This could minimize the fan-speed-ups when doing non-intensive tasks on the computer.

Yes you can with a combination of time average custom sensors + mixes.

However before going there, did you play with the hysteresis settings? Your linears are still 2-1.

Thank you for the answer. I'm no longer using Linears. At the moment I'm playing with the Graphs. It's just easier to leave unused elements for now when testing.
I'm using the default hysteresis of 2°C - 1 sec. So setting it to 5 sec. should theoretically have the same effect? It would wait for 5 seconds after the temperature jump is detected? I guess that could do the work then.

Yes that's the whole point of the hysteresis. You can also increase the minimum temperature change to like 3-5 degrees.
