Usage based Fan curve

In certain use cases it would (at least for me, but for sure also for the "silence enthusiasts") be nice if there would be an implementation ( either directly instead of temperature or a toggle) to ramp down fan speed when cpu/gpu usage dropped to a certain value (i.E. GPU intensive task, high usage/temp, exiting the task, x-second delay, ramp down fans even if temperature would still have higher fan value, see illustration). Yes it would keep the temperatures higher after exiting the intensive task and has to rely on proper user implementation, but it would be perfect for prioritizing silence. My thought process was: if there is no significant Thermal energy added to the cooling loop and idle set speed is enough to cool it down, even if it takes longer, there is no immediate need to keep the fans running at high(er) speeds

Came here to suggest this. I would love it if we can set curves based on non-temperature sensors. Two scenarios:

1. The temperature sensor in my RAM modules do not seem to report in a way that Fan Control can read. They need to be kept under 50C which is not a problem at ambient, but I have a dedicated RAM fan which is needed to keep the timings stable while they are under load. On some encoding/rendering tasks, they will be stressed the CPU is at 100% utilisation however on some instruction sets, the CPU temperature will not go over 60C - which it also can easily hit during single-threaded tasks such as gaming but where the RAM fan is not needed and I would prefer it to be (effectively) silent.

2. When starting intensive tasks the utilisation will increase first, and then temperature after so there is a few seconds at the beginning of a workload/leading up to saturation where it begins thermal throttling early because the fan speed hasn't caught up yet. Such a minor quibble, but being able to combine the readings with a utilisation or power draw curve would make it possible to really optimise the setup for both performance and noise.

Have you got DDR4 / DDR5 RAM ?
Model number ?
If it has a thermal sensor, it should read the temperature.
DDR4 mostly has no thermal sensor. If it's RGB RAM the chance is higher.

Feel free to create an issue here and attach a log file which is being created by executing "ConsoleOutputTest" in latest release. I can then take a look:
