Suggestion: Player page reflects most played character

Would be interesting/cool to have player pages feel more personal. An idea I thought of was that if the background or player banner included bg art of the player's most played character or vehicle. Just a little flair. Might implement this myself if I get around to it.

Perhaps expanding on this might have their most played track behind their VR graph, or accolades like "custom track connoisseur" for players that play more CTs than Retros. Just fun things like that!

Variation on this might be if a user has 100 races on a character, they can use that background on their profile. But of course any actual selections would require data storage.

We can definitively personalise individual player pages based on their stats, yes. This would require quite some tweaking with custom CSS and if you're willing to do that I can't complain.

What however is a big no is the second comment. The site is read-only and with no implementation of any user authentication on the website, this is just unfeasible. The exact amount of work it would take to implement such a thing vastly exceeds what you probably had in mind unfortunately.

Exact customizations can be discussed internally and we can then lay out a proper proposal to start implementing.

@noelhermanss Considering that there's self-management tools for clearing and self-kicking in the works, is this something you could consider handling through RWFC bot if the user linked their FC to their Discord?

Trust me, I know the significance of user-set preferences versus automatic ones. But I like Gab's comment there too! Though of course it would need additional data values in the db so still a big lift compared to just dynamic styling.

@GABRlEL None of the existing RWFC bot commands directly inject into the frontend. Of course it is possible, but it is not as easy as you'd think.

I am not aware of those self-management commands yet, but assuming they are similar to the moderation commands they impact the player database in some sort of way, and that's that.

The only thing similar implemented in the web project are some of the commands the BKT Updaters can do and the /flag and /unflag commands.

So if you want to make something similar to that, you'd need to set up a table to save the preferences of the user

And then somehow let the frontend know it needs to show a specific CSS if it comes on a players page.

Looking at how long I spent making that TT leaderboard, this might take a similar amount of time to make as I'll also need to work with the RWFC bot. I genuinely just don't think I will have time for such a big change anytime soon. Not saying I won't do it but just that you know

Self management has not been implemented yet. For profile management either rwfc would need to have access to the leaderboard DB or the leaderboard would need access to the rwfc DB. Both I'm fine with implementing but it does further blur the line between the two projects.
