Runestone Issue: students unable to log in

Describe the bug
Several of my students have emailed me in the last few days that they are unable to log into their Runestone accounts. They have tried resetting their passwords but have not received password reset emails. I created the accounts for them in early June from a csv file. All students had access to their accounts and were able to use them to complete their assignments until now. We are using the textbook "Problem Solving with Algorithms and Data Structures 3rd Edition" and the course name is oaktoncollege_csc242_8c1_summer26. One student has successfully created a new Runestone account to access the course, but students should be able to access their original accounts.

We have made a lot of changes this last month, including to how students log in. The URL you are linking is out of date, but is set to redirect to the right place. https://runestone.academy/admin/auth/login is the new correct address.

Thousands of people are logging in just fine, which makes this difficult to track down without precise information. Like what do they mean they cannot log in? Are they simply seeing a new login screen and getting confused? Are they told that their password is invalid? Are they being sent to some other unlikely page?

There was a time, at least a week ago, where emailing password resets was broken, but that has since been fixed. Note: As a workaround, you can also reset their passwords from the instructor interface.

I'm happy to work with you and your students to resolve this, especially in case there is still an underlying problem that I need to get fixed before the August / September rush! But the more specifics you can give me the better able I am to help.
