Deployment of test destination app binds it to internal domain

Deploying the app to test cloud connector is generating routes as "my-dest-test-SDNgvbedBIjkSZA.apps.internal"
This issue is happening irrespective of shopinfo pointing to cloud connector or direct ES5 .

Any inputs on how to fix this.

The workaround here is to manually create the route.
By default the route is created as .apps.internal. I wonder if there is any configuration / environment variable / app config that is driving this mapping !!
