Nothing mentioned about a (possible future) Linux version

Apart from LibreOffice instead of the usual, SEB seems the only thing that runs me into trouble trying to get my daughter a Linux machine for school instead of the usual. What to do?

Unfortunately no one has been willing to finance the development and maintenance of a linux version of SEB until now. We would need at least one dedicated full-time developer for this (actually more at least for the initial development).

There are also technical reasons why it isn't easy to developer a linux version (for example for which distribution/desktop manager etc. of linux, a universal "linux" version is not easy to imagine due to the extremely diverse linux universe). I'll ask a few funders. I'd be surprised if there's no interest as this seems to be one of the most serious things keeping students locked into US Big Tech.
