Did you try to configure this on a Mac? Use the Settings window in SEB for macOS and add these applications with the "Choose Application..." button. The Settings editor will suggest you changes in the Security settings section, which you should accept. Only then the AAC Assessment Mode will be used, which is necessary for the macOS version to allow using third party applications (if you allow downloading and uploading result files in your exam, also accept the second suggested settings changes regarding Down/Uploads). You can open the same settings file you created with SEB for Windows in SEB for macOS. You can start SEB on the Mac with its icon while holding down the option key, then the Settings window will be displayed. Then drag the configuration file onto the Settings window or use the Open... menu command. If you install the current SEB version freshly, you have to reconfigure it with the link on the download page to allow to open the Settings window. After saving that configuration, you can use it with both Windows and Mac clients. The SEB for Windows Configuration Tool is based on an outdated code base and needs to be refactored, therefore we are currently not adding all the Mac and iOS specific settings there. But anyone who does serious multi-platform exams should always test these on all supported platforms, so having access to a Mac is very much recommended. |

For my upcoming assessment, the following applications are required:
I’ve successfully configured everything for Windows users. However, I’m facing an issue on macOS – students are unable to see or access both Thonny and TextEdit. I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps but haven’t been successful in resolving the issue. Could you please look into this and advise if there are any specific configurations or permissions required on macOS to ensure these applications are visible and accessible?

Appreciate your assistance.
