Indicator idea: connected to the power grid / disconnected from the power grid

This is an idea we've talked about in may in Muttenz.
Forgot about it, but now it came to my mind again.
The logs know when or whether a device is or has been connected to the power grid / disconnected from the power grid.

It would be possible to create an indicator with just 0 and 1 which represent disconnected from the power grid / connected to the power grid

Thanks for our input, great idea.
I suggest instead of making a whole new indicator out of it, we integrate the "plugged" flag/mark somehow within the existing battery indicator. The battery indicator will then show some additional symbol when the client device is plugged into the power grid. Either an icon or a special character like "90% (=)" where 90% is the battery load and (=) is the "plugged in" symbol.

FYI: Since we're currently working on a new GUI and all new features for the old GUI has a freeze, this will come earliest with SEB Server Version 3.0 (New GUI Version).

I just had a talk with your colleague Kristina.
She asked me if I had an estimate about the urgency and priority of this.
My rationale is the following.
I think this is a low hanging fruit. Not super urgent but very, very nice. Having a) just the percentage number or b) the percentage number with either the connected or the unconnected icon is not a too great deal IMHO.
This is maybe also quite rewarding should you have a developer starting in this project. He or she should have a success in a few hours/days.
So, yes, please, put it on a high priority.

Thanks for your input. I quickly checked if SEB Server already has the information about the power grid connection from the logs. And yes:

SEB win: Okay at 100%, 00:00:00 remaining, connected to the power grid
SEB Mac/iOS: Connected to power source.
SEB Mac/iOS: Battery Level 100% (Connected to Power Source)

So this is a low-hanging fruit as you say, and I recommend to also take this in for the MVP.
