With version 3.10.0, we improved the protection of SEB windows from being captured by e.g. screen recording software. In order to disable the protection, enable "Allow screen capture" in your configuration as explained under https://safeexambrowser.org/windows/win_usermanual_en.html#SecurityPane. |

So, I’ve found that built-in tools like Snipping Tool and other third-party snipping tools just don’t work with SEB. If anyone has suggestions for working alternatives, feel free to share them here.
As a workaround, back in June we instructed our students to use the PrtScn button instead and then edit the screenshot in Word. While not a perfect solution, it worked according to our teachers.
However, it seems something has changed since then, based on what they’re telling me today. PrtScn still works if, for example, Word is active, but if you have a website open in the SEB browser, the screenshot doesn’t capture the browser window—it only captures apps or the desktop behind it. According to the teachers, this was possible back in June.
I haven’t confirmed that it actually worked back then, but in any case, it’s an issue now.
Any suggestions?
