Description:
An attempt to start a Test in Canvas using a LTI 1.3 link causes SEB to GET the url instead of the POST created by the Canvas LTI plugin. The tool cannot handle this because the web-form with signed parameters is needed and displays "method not allowed".
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Create a LTI 1.3 connector in Canvas
- Add a external resource to some course in Canvas, configure it to open in new tab
- Click on the link
- The resource doesn't open, but "method not allowed" is displayed.
Expected Behavior
I expect the resouce to open, effectively closing Canvas.
Version Information
- OS: Windows 11
- SEB-Version 3.9
Additional Context
Our customer would like students to login in Canvas and launch their exam from there. During the exam, students should be blocked from accessing learning materials from Canvas. Using the same window option in SEB would achieve this for them, but unfortunately this doesn't work. Other LMS offer the "full screen, same window" option in LTI that works. The same window option in Canvas opens the exam in an iframe, allowing studens easy access to learning materials.
