Application non responsive while waiting to connect to the database

OS: macOS 26.2

When I select a device I have to wait while it is connecting to the database, but I want to just view the device's information which I don't believe is dependant on the db at all.
So shouldn't the two items be independent?

The app is meant to be a provider for the database, hence why it'll check against the database if a device is present. I have no plans to change that.

I agree 100% with that and I love it.
The issue is with it being synchronous.
For example I'm switching between MoltenVK and KosmicKrisp to compare them, every time I switch back and forth I have to wait for the db to connect.

That does indeed make sense. I'll look into making these calls non-blocking.
