It seems most users cannot install this package anymore because its dependencies for NLSolversBase are now too old to be compatible with Optim.jl v2 (and many other similar things as well), and so it ends up being in old environments. It's a bit of a shame because this package adds a lot of value to Optimization.jl, but it hasn't been updated in 3 years. We'd be happy to bring it into SciML and work on it in maintenance mode, i.e. just keep doing what's required to keep the package alive and running in top shape, because the algorithms this package brings are pretty unique in the ecosystem.
