[Request]: Rename SQLiteStudio to Letos #18152

Description

@JeffJacobson

Prerequisites

  • I have searched all issues/PRs to ensure it has not already been reported or fixed.

Criteria

  • Reasonably well-known and widely used (e.g. if it's a GitHub project, it should have at least 100 stars and/or 50 forks)
  • English interface (or at least English documentation)
  • Latest stable version
  • Full version (i.e. not a trial version)
  • Fairly standard install (e.g. uses a version-specific download URL, no elaborate pre/post install scripts)

Name

letos

Description

A SQLite database manager. (Formerly known as SQLiteStudio.)

Some Indication of Popularity/Repute

The author of SQLiteStudio renamed it to Letos.

I created my own fork and made the changes. The docs said I should create an issue before making a pull request.

  • Moved sqlitestudio to deprecated.
  • Created copy of sqlitestudio app manifest, named letos, and modified relevant names, URLs, etc.

Reason for name change below (source). I assume that since it's a rename of an app that already has a manifest here, Letos should meet the popularity requirement.

SQLiteStudio is being renamed to Letos.

Along with the new name, the project's website and online resources are being migrated from sqlitestudio.pl to letos.org.

The rename is intended to give the project its own independent identity and avoid confusion with the official SQLite project and its maintainers.

Apart from the name, nothing changes. The application remains free, open source, focused exclusively on SQLite databases, and continues to be actively developed.

Existing links and resources will continue to work during the transition period.
