Describe the bug
The default controller scheme for the steam deck has a jittery camera. It seems to only update around 30 fps, tested by limiting the steam deck's compositor to 30 fps and observing similar framerates with moving and looking. Also compared to holding the steam button to temporarily force the touchpad and joystick into mouse mode, which has fluid full-rate camera update speed.
This is observed on an unmodified Steam Deck OLED, at 90fps nominally. I tested both GameMode and Plasma 6 X11 (Desktop Mode). I tested the newest available version with no beta and 1.6.1 via steam's beta feature. This issue happens in all tested environments.
To Reproduce
- Install and launch on a Steam Deck OLED
- Confirm default controller layout
- Launch new game
- Wait for full camera control (bug starts after bed sequence)
- Optionally test with limited framerate via the Quick Access Menu
Expected behavior
Smooth camera control in same framerate as rendering
Screenshots
No response
