Solarized Light

Ethan Schoonover's iconic Solarized palette in its light variant. Warm cream backgrounds with precisely calibrated contrast, bringing the same careful balance as Solarized Dark to bright environments.

Features

  • Precision contrast. Solarized's mathematically-derived contrast ratios on a warm cream base.
  • Complete coverage. All UI elements, dashboard widgets, console, and code editor are fully themed.
  • Code editor support. Syntax highlighting uses the canonical Solarized palette (green keywords, blue types, cyan strings).
  • Eye comfort. The warm #FDF6E3 background avoids the harshness of pure white.

Color Palette

Role Color Hex
Background Cream #FDF6E3

Accent Cyan #2AA198

When to Use

For well-lit environments where a dark theme would look washed out. The warm cream tone is easier on the eyes than pure white, while maintaining excellent readability. Pairs perfectly with Solarized Dark for day/night switching.
