error when cloning: filename too long

I ran a git clone a few minutes ago, and got the following error:

unable to create file markdown/platform-security/instance-security-hardening-settings/sc-limit-attachment-size-in-training-and-prediction-flows-for-graphql-enpoints-plugin-applicability-platform-document-intelligence.md: Filename too long

This is on a windows 11 os.

That is a really long topic filename.

This is fundamentally a content issue (and a Windows issue...) but I'll look into the content and see if we can adjust this way-to-long filename.

As a workaround, Claude suggests:

git config --global core.longpaths true

Which should allow long paths under Windows.

If I create a realistic path, i.e.:

/Home/somename/git/ServiceNowDocs/markdown/platform-security/instance-security-hardening-settings/sc-limit-attachment-size-in-training-and-prediction-flows-for-graphql-enpoints-plugin-applicability-platform-document-intelligence.md

That's 232 characters, which is pretty close to the 260 limit, so if you've cloned into a more verbose directory, could definitely hit that limit.

In the meantime, I'm reaching out to the authors to see if we can shorten this filename.
